The LifeWay Students Publishing Team is hiring for a Remote Content Editor & Brand Owner for The Gospel Project. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team to write, design, and ensure the delivery of trustworthy curriculum experiences that fuel student ministry. You will ensure that resources are biblically and theologically sound, and in alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message.
Responsibilities
As a Remote Content Editor & Brand Owner you will:
- Create content that is aligned with Scripture, Baptist Faith & Message, and conservative evangelical theology
- Edit content according to style and branding guidelines for verification of content accuracy, instructional soundness, and relevance
- Receive author submissions, initiate author payments and respond to appraisal reader evaluations
- Develop and improve relationships with vendors, suppliers, customers, internal departments, and other associated entities
- Participate in Bible study scope / outline development and make copyfitting decisions
Qualifications
- 5 years of church staff and denominational experience
- Bachelors degree or higher in theology, Christian education, urban education, K-12 education, English, or communications, required
- Master’s degree, preferred
- Ability to effectively use current editorial production software and apply LifeWay style and grammar rule
- Team player who is able to collaborate with peers and leadership to carry out the mission and vision of the team
- Ability to create print and digital solutions
- Ability to generate content and significantly rewrite/adapt authors’ submissions as needed
- Respect for economic and cultural diversity and experience working with diverse groups of people
