My client is an innovative start-up which is building an AI-powered platform built on Go to help active investors, both professional and retail, make sense of the data available to them and make informed investment decisions. The platform searches billions of data points across millions of timeseries on a daily basis looking for interesting behaviour, and then looks for causal relationships within that behaviour that may indicate future performance. Where it finds a statistically significant, predictable behaviour, it then produces a computer generated report detailing an insight that a potential investor could act on.
They are working with me exclusively to find a talented backend Go (Golang) engineer, with at least 2 years of solid Go development under their belt, to work with their Lead Backend Engineer to help develop, expand and maintain the current code base. there are plenty of hard and important problems to solve. You will get involved in developing the functionalities of the apis in Go. Their stack includes – Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, PostgreSQL etc etc
This is a fully remote role, open to anybody located +/- 3 hours of UTC, but importantly within easy reach (short flight/train journey) of London. When the pandemic is over, they would like to see each other from time to time!
You will have:
– 2+ years’ commercial experience in Golang
– experience with Test Driven Development
– experience of containerized applications and microservice architecture, and creating microservices
– experience with various inter service communication types, like REST, Messaging, Websocket
– knowledge of & experience with different types of databases. This would be a big plus (mainly Postgres, Cassandra, Influx, Redis)
